Roof renovation, façade insulation and basement waterproofing - Aartselaar

In Aartselaar, ROART carried out a renovation project in which several important parts of the house were addressed. The focus was on improving the protection, insulation and durability of the building. The works included roof renewal and roof insulation, façade insulation with exterior finishing and basement waterproofing.

The renovation started with the roofing works. A good roof is essential for protecting a home. Therefore, the existing roof structure was inspected and, where necessary, renewed or adapted. Roof insulation was then installed to reduce heat loss and improve living comfort. By insulating the roof correctly, heat is better retained during winter and the home remains more comfortable during warmer periods.

In addition to the roof, the exterior façade was also addressed. The façade was prepared for insulation and a new exterior finish. Façade insulation helps reduce energy loss while also giving the house a renewed appearance. In these works, correct connections around windows, doors, plinth zones and roof edges are important to achieve a durable and well-finished result.

Another important part of this project was basement waterproofing. Basements are sensitive to moisture, water infiltration and rising damp. The basement was therefore treated with attention to waterproofing and protection against moisture problems. Proper basement waterproofing contributes to a healthier and more usable space.

Through the combination of roof insulation, façade insulation and basement waterproofing, the house was improved on several levels. The building is better protected against rain, wind, cold and moisture. At the same time, the house benefits from better energy performance and a well-maintained exterior appearance.

Within this project, ROART was responsible for the practical organisation and execution of the works. The existing condition of the house, the correct order of execution, material choices, technical details and a neat finish were all taken into account.

This project shows how targeted renovation works can improve an existing home step by step. By addressing the roof, façade and basement together, the result is a more durable, more comfortable and better-protected building.
